Staying IN Your Lane
Here's another Purpose Check!
I have heard many people question what is their purpose in life. They have tried this and that and nothing seems to be for them or work out. I usually ask "what influenced you to do that" or "what inspires you" and I usually hear "Well, someone told me to do this, that way..." or "So and so did it like that so I did it too". Why?!? Why are you doing them and not doing you?!?
What makes you YOU? You do! Being yourself and finding your passions!
You cannot be, say, or do things because you see someone else is already saying or doing them and it's successful. One of my favorite quotes about individuality is "You can only be you because everyone else is taken." Yes, you can be inspired by and get ideas from others; by all means, do it! However, you cannot do that in the same exact way as them and expect the same success.
There's a difference between being inspired by someone and copying them. Inspiring is filling someone with the urge to have the ability to do something creative. Copying is making identical to or similar to something. In other ways, taking an idea and making it your own versus
Staying in your lane simply means pay attention to the road and path you follow. You are either driving on autopilot/half asleep, following another driver or taking your own adventures. Be plugged IN and actively involved in discovering your passions for yourself. I always heard what you struggle with the most in your life is the same struggle used to bless others as a part of your purpose. From experience, going to God and having a relationship with Him is a great place to start! Stay IN and diligent to learning more about Him and about yourself. BE and DO YOU ONLY!
Who cares what other people think and say about you, your dreams, and your goals? In order to love yourself, you must embrace yourself, flaws and all!
