Social Justice Solutions: What Can YOU Do?

In recent events with Tyre King, Terrence Crutcher, and Keith Lamont Scott, I see a lot more people ready to take actions and bring some REAL change into their communities. I decided to take this out of my drafts and cut my research short in order to post this. Here are ways you can bring change into your community: (Please keep in mind that you must remain patient through the process and be connected with the right people in order to see change; the little things matter and add up) 1. Attend your local community council meetings and talk to your council members. E-mail them, call them, etc. Have conversations voicing your concerns, give suggestions and input for community events. Community unity and working together is essential. 2. VOTE!!! Locally and Nationally. Period. 3. Protest and bring awareness. There's sooooo many things I can say for and against this but it does work and gets people talking. Having these important conversations and listening with an open ear

In our society, we have placed value on and devoted time to spend on social media. Some people use it to vent, some use it to post their greatest accomplishments, and some use it to as a platform. Most will argue that social media is destroying our society and culture. Who is to say that both sides are right or wrong?? However, you must admit that social media has good and bad times; can be laziness or productive on them. The choice and how you use it is up to you. Through my recent observations and analyzing the latest forms of social media entertainment, I have found that memes have become more and more popular. Anyone can create a meme! Once again, can be seen as good AND bad. HOWEVER, the creation of memes is only one of various examples of pettiness being displayed on our Timelines. What do you mean, Ayana? Glad you ask!
