Top 10 Lessons from My Undergrad Experience

Image
Wow! I never knew I could see four years of my life fly by as quickly as they did for my undergrad in college. My mindset and plans would gone a lot differently than they had. I guess that is the importance of learning and experiencing. I had to be honest with myself and do this post. Here are some things I personally learned from my four years of undergrad. 10. Ramen noodles are not everyone's best friend. Everyone hyped up ramen noodles before I got to college. Fortunately, I did not eat as much of it as I was "supposed" to?? I received a big basket full as a high school graduation gift and I remember eating maybe 2 packets... other than that, I found my love for peanut butter which is still my addiction until today. You can use it for a variety of snacks and meals. Very versatile. 9. The Freshmen 15 is not the only thing you ...

Single for LYfe Part 3: No Rush

You guessed it! Let's talk about ENGAGEMENTS! To all the engaged or married couples out there or even reading this post, CONGRATULATIONS! Truly from the bottom of my heart, I wish you all the best of luck and true happiness with one another. Cherish the moments you share with your love, your soulmate, your partner, and your best friend. This post is for all the single ones out there, still searching for their love, soulmate, partner, and best friend! I have one word of advice for you: WAIT! Things I Learned from Lent 2016

Image
I decided to challenge myself this year for Lent. I chose to not consume chocolate and not listen to any secular music for 40 days and nights. (Side note: if you do not know or understand what Lent is, please check out http://www.upperroom.org/lent101) Although I couldn't COMPLETELY get rid of secular music and do that consistently every year, that was not too much of a challenge for me. On the contrary, I thought I'd never survive without chocolate... BUT GOD! I DID IT!!!! I'm so proud of myself. NOW I must not devour every piece of chocolate I see. I don't need any cavities lol. Here are a few things I learned from abstaining from one of my favorite things: 1. I am more disciplined than I thought. I told myself that I needed chocolate in order to survive but as the days went by the first couple weeks, I found that it wasn't as hard as I thought. Now around Week 3 or 21 days, I was starting to have Withdraw. Valentine's Day came and I found myself surroun...
